What Is Chart Rectification?
In astrology, your exact birth time is the key that unlocks the entire chart — it determines your Ascendant (Rising Sign), the house positions of every planet, and the precise degree of the Midheaven that describes your public path in life. Without this anchor, the chart is incomplete.
Chart Rectification is the process of working backwards from the significant events of your life — marriages, moves, losses, breakthroughs, accidents, career shifts — to identify the exact birth time that caused those events to align with your transits and progressions. It is detective work of the highest metaphysical order.
Who Is This For?
- Those born before birth times were consistently recorded on certificates
- Those whose hospital records were lost, inaccurate, or unavailable
- Those who know only a general window (morning, afternoon, evening)
- Anyone who suspects their known birth time may be off by minutes or hours
- Those who want to use Chinese BaZi (requiring the Hour Pillar) but don't know their birth hour
How Miri Works
Before your session, you will be asked to compile a list of key life events with approximate dates — as many as you can recall. Miri then tests a range of candidate birth times against these events using Secondary Progressions, Solar Arc Directions, primary directions, and significant transits. Through a process of elimination and confirmation, the chart gradually reveals its own truth.
This is one of the most nuanced and time-intensive readings in astrology. Sessions may span multiple hours. Any follow-up is provided as a written report. If you prefer a follow-up meeting, that is available upon request for an additional fee.
What Is Included in the $99
- A detailed preparation questionnaire sent before the session — listing key life events that become the investigative material for rectification
- A 40-minute zoom session (or meeting platform of your choice) with Miri-am to walk through the process, confirm findings, and discuss the rectified chart
- Your rectified birth time and a working natal chart cast to that time

Any follow-up after your session is provided as a written report at no additional charge. If you prefer a follow-up meeting, that is available upon request for an additional fee.

Why Location Matters
In astrology, your birth location is just as critical as your birth time. The same moment in time produces a completely different chart depending on where on earth you were born — different Ascendant, different house cusps, different Midheaven. And the time zone of your birthplace determines how your local clock time converts to Universal Time, which is the basis of all chart calculation.
For chart rectification, Miri-am needs your birth city and state/country so she can pinpoint the exact time zone and coordinates used in the calculation. Even a small difference in location can shift the Ascendant and house cusps significantly.
What to Prepare
- Your birth date and birth location (city, state, country)
- Any known time range (e.g. "sometime in the morning")
- A written list of significant life events with approximate dates (the more the better)
- Openness — the chart will confirm what is true
